Gemaal (pumping station)

The Pumping Station at Dreischor is a special site accessible to divers of all levels. The structures of the still-operating pumping station are beautifully overgrown. You can dive beautifully shallow here and encounter various structures. The entry may be a bit slippery, so do carefully and use the rope provided here to support yourself with.

The site is less crowded than Church Road, which makes for a quieter diving experience and sometimes better visibility conditions. This is partly due to the limited parking space, absence of facilities and potentially slippery entry. Diving here is for the diver looking for a touch more adventure, but still diving at this location is also suitable for beginners: the most beautiful parts are in the first six metres.

What you'll find

  • Beautifully vegetated structures
  • Adventurous entry
  • Limited parking space
  • Lots of lobsters

Note: Take care when entering the water: there are no stairs or jetty, so you have to cross the sometimes slippery stones of the embankment. Use the rope for extra grip.
