Dive sites in Zeeland
Unique dive locations in Europe - relaxed diving in the Grevelingen, dynamic conditions in the Oosterschelde
Grevelingenmeer
The Grevelingenmeer is the largest saltwater lake in Europe. After being closed off in 1971 it developed a unique ecosystem: clear water, rich underwater flora and fauna, and virtually no tides.
Visibility up to 8 metres is common. Water temperature ranges from 4°C in winter to 22°C in summer. Year-round diving.
Oosterschelde
The Oosterschelde is a tidal arm with powerful currents and an exceptionally rich underwater ecosystem. Mussels, lobsters, sea anemones — the biodiversity is remarkable.
Diving here requires knowledge of tides and currents. We guide exclusively at slack water or in sheltered sites, keeping it safe and comfortable.
Tip: The Waves, Tides & Currents specialty is highly recommended for Oosterschelde dives.
