Most divers use their dive computer as a simple depth gauge with a timer. The SSI Computer Diving specialty teaches you how to truly use the instrument — with multi-level profiles that give you significantly more underwater enjoyment.
Traditional square-profile diving means staying at a fixed depth. With multi-level diving you use the advantage that shallower diving builds up less nitrogen: you start deep, ascend partway to a middle depth and finish shallow. Your dive computer continuously calculates how much additional time you can spend at each depth.
You learn how to configure your computer, how to interpret the display, how to plan dives based on computer data and how to responsibly combine multiple dives per day. Essential knowledge for every active diver.
